Taylor Swift did not sit with Brittany Mahomes as the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Baltimore Ravens 27-20 in the NFL season opener on Thursday night.
This comes after the singer’s legion of fans begged her to snub the wife of Chiefs star quarterback Patrick because she appeared to be backing Donald Trump in the upcoming US election.
As they took their seats on opening night of the NFL season, when the Chiefs played the Baltimore Ravens at Arrowhead Stadium, the two appeared to be in different suites. It’s a marked difference from last season, when they were inseparable at games.
Swift took her usual spot in Kelce’s luxury suite alongside the tight end’s family and friends. She was snapped sitting next to Kelce’s parents, Ed and Donna, in the first half.
Meanwhile, Mahomes sat with her adorable daughter Sterling Skye in a different suite as she cheered on her husband.

Mahomes enjoyed the game with his daughter Sterling Skye as he posted photos from his suite.
The pair watched at Arrowhead Stadium as their lovers and their teammates got off to a perfect start to the season with a win over their fierce AFC rivals that could already have playoff implications.
The Ravens thought they had tied the game 27-27 with zero seconds left on the clock, but tight end Isaiah Likely’s foot was ruled out of bounds after he caught Lamar Jackson’s pass.
It was also the perfect NFL debut for Chiefs rookie Xavier Worthy, who showed off his blistering speed to score two touchdowns.
While both will be celebrating a Chiefs win tonight, Swift and Mahomes’ friendship could be at risk due to their opposing political views.
Swift has previously backed Trump’s rivals, though she has also accused him of “stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism,” “feigning moral superiority” and “threatening violence.”
But Brittany appears to be rooting for the Republican candidate and the former president took to Truth Social to thank the WAG for her support earlier this week.
“I want to thank the beautiful Brittany Mahomes for standing up so strongly for me and for the fact that MAGA is the largest and most powerful political movement in the history of our now failed country,” he said.
Taylor and Brittany quickly struck up a friendship last year, with the pair posing for photos together, attending high-end dinners and wearing matching outfits.

A source even told Us Weekly that the pair “have a really genuine friendship and a similar sense of humor” and “are always telling jokes and laughing.”
“Even if things didn’t work out between Taylor and Travis, Taylor feels like her friendship with Brittany would continue no matter what,” they added.
Brittany practically confirmed her support for Trump by recently liking Instagram posts supporting the Republican Party.

She also “liked” another message of support after sparking outrage for initially “liking” a Trump post about the November election.
“Glad to see you’re not giving up,” read the comment she liked. “We are all entitled to our own opinions and we shouldn’t be forced to submit.”
The pair have developed a close bond since Swift began dating Travis Kelce last year.
The couple regularly sit next to each other at Chiefs games and hug each other as they celebrate.
Mahomes and Swift hugged each other, with the pop star also regularly sitting next to Kelce’s parents.

She later reposted a comment by preacher and author Shane Pruitt that appeared to be a response to the backlash against her.
“Contrary to the tone of today’s world…,” the message begins. “You can disagree with someone and still love them. You can have different opinions and still be kind.”
However, Taylor has previously accused Trump of “misleading the American public” and treating the United States “like an autocracy.”
Endorsing Biden and Harris in 2020, she wrote: “The change we need most is electing a president who recognizes that people of color deserve to feel safe and represented, that women deserve the right to choose what happens to their bodies, and that the LGBTQIA+ community deserves to be recognized and included.”
