The glittering red, blue, and gold face mask was emblazoned with the Wonder Woman logo, and was the perfect accessory to her coordinating midnight blue and gold dress.

The pretty dress was cinched at the waist with a Wonder Woman belt, and flared out with a pleated gold skirt.

Perhaps most head-turning of all were her teal green hair buns, which were stylishly twisted on either side of her head.

Venus arrived to the court with an air of confidence, and it’s no wonder considering her powerful outfit.

Despite her best efforts, Venus lost to Zarina, 6-2.

Tuesday marked Venus’ 21st appearance at the tournament, and the last time she won a title was in 2001 when she beat Jennifer Capriati.

Audience members were small for the first day of the tournament, and will remain so with only 750 fans allowed on the grounds per session.

Venus’ sister Serena Williams was missing from the tournament, as well as mens pro players Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer and Rafael Nada.
